Ishasha is a town, in Rukungiri District, in southwestern Uganda.

Ishasha is located approximately 432 kilometres (268 mi), by road, southwest of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city.[1] The coordinates of the town are:00 44 24S, 29 37 30E (Latitude:-0.7400; Longitude:29.6250). This location is near Uganda's International border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Ishasha lies close to the southwestern tip of Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP), the most visited national park in Uganda. The topography in this area of the national park is significantly different from the other areas of QENP. The Ishasha Sector of QENP is home to the tree-climbing lions, unique to this area. The males of these lions sport manes that are black, another unique feature.
